A coffee farm that has always been in the family
La Ceiba lies in the heart of Colombia's coffee region. It was once part of La Argelia, one of the best-known coffee estates in the area, founded in the 1920s.

Morning mist over the Buenavista and La Vieja
The house sits high on a hill above the Buenavista River, looking out over a bamboo forest and the mountains that rise from the La Vieja River and the Cauca Valley.

Coffee, plantain and bamboo
Today the farm grows coffee, plantain and guadua bamboo sustainably, and raises high-quality cattle on a small scale.
We only use natural fertilizers and avoid chemicals that could harm the environment. The hotel opened on the farm in 2019.

From the plant to the cup
The farm tour shows the coffee process from the plant to the cup.

More than 60 bird species on the farm.
It is an ideal place for birdwatching. Hummingbirds come to the feeders on the main terrace, and you can also spot the vermilion flycatcher and the saffron finch.
